the answer given for q.no 136 by Dr.Uma Sharan Singh is 4 i think it is wrong it should be 2 actually the base will attack at the alpha carbon center which gives carbanion this carbanaion will not directly attack at C-Br bond via SN2 type reaction because here we have an allylic type of system and the C=C bond is anti periplanar to the sigma C-Br bond which will weakends the C-Br bond at first so the nuclephile should attack at the C=C center rather than C-Br center leads to give a cyclopropanone type of ring and it will be opened by the attack of base (-OMe) leading to give the product 2.
